Customer Review: Don’t waste your time on this product.
I could not get this handset to register with my base phone, which means it will not work. I went on line & found out many other people had the same problem. After many attempts to register this handset with my base phone I decided to call the technical support line. Although I was calling a Texas phone number, I’m pretty sure the call went to India. The delay was annoying & the operator repeated the directions from the manual. Not helpful in the least! I finally decided to return the handset to Amazon.com & they are even reimbursing me for all the shipping charges I incurred returning it. I would not recommend this product to anyone!
Customer Review: If you can’t get phone to register with the base……
Call the Customer Service line. I see several reviews where the phone couldn’t register with the base and I was lucky enough to have the same problem. So I called Thomson customer service, not really expecting very much (I even had the Amazon return policy on my computer while on the phone.) Much to my surprise they were actually helpful. I did what they told me to do and it worked. If you have the same problem this is all you have to do:
Make sure to do these steps in order!
1. Unplug the power to the base phone.
2. Unplug the phone line to the base phone.
3. Remove the batteries from the extension.
4. Wait 15 minutes.
5. Now reassmble in the reverse order (ie. Reinstall the batteries, etc.)
6. Follow the directions to register the extension phone.
This worked for me, I hope this is helpful for you.
I give this product 4/5 stars because it wasn’t ready to register right out of the box. The phone performs exceptionally well and I would give it 5 stars otherwise.
