I bought this phone and didn’t realize how many features it has. You can program one phone with all your phone numbers and then “send” that info to the other phones so you don’t have to program all of them. The phone also has a 2 way, but I have never used it. I do use the room monitor mode, and the intercom is wonderful provided you remember what number phone is in what room. My solution is I have the phones numbered according to what floor they are on in the house. The cordless range is good, I can take my phone to the neighbor’s house and it works pretty good. The only problem with this phone is the battery. You really need to get new batteries that are not made by panasonic. Energizers seem to work well and I bought them on Amazon, they were 1/2 price compared to Best Buy!

Cordless phones with SST have greater output power than regular cordless phones because they transmit over the entire bandwidth, constantly changing frequency.

While conventional phones transmit and receive signals within the same band (which can result in interference between these signals), 2.4 GHz GigaRange Extreme SST cordless phones employ the use of two different frequencies–2.4 GHz on the base and 900 MHz on the handset. This means that interference between these signals is minimized, thereby enhancing clarity and boosting range. A unique, proprietary circuitry design also helps these phones resist interference from other devices that share similar bands, like microwave ovens. Panasonic 2.4 GHz GigaRange Extreme cordless phones utilize SST in both the 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz bands.

This unique twin-band transmission, coupled with rugged design, allows you to take your conversations outdoors. Panasonic has also included a 2.5-millimeter headset jack and belt clip for hands-free operation. The KX-TG2570 also boasts two-way paging and automatic intercom, a dual antenna system, a backlit three-line LCD display on the handset, 50-station caller ID memory and dialer, 30-station phone directory and dialer, a navigator key, a seven-hour battery charging system, and up to eight hours of talk time. The answering system includes call screening, skip/fast-forward, repeat/rewind, and all/individual erase.

I got this phone back in 2001, and the only trouble after roughly six years is that I need a new battery. It is a bit worn looking though, but that’s to be expected for the length of time I’ve had it. I have NOT been gentle with this phone, and it still works, which says a lot about the product.

Phone was highly recommended. However, I ordered it on July 11, 2008. On August 16th I received a notice that the product would not be delivered until September - OR OCTOBER! It may be highly rated, but if I can’t get one, it doesn’t do me any good.

I recently picked up a set of these phones as a replacement for a Sony cordless phone that finally died. They are packaged as refurbished but they appear brand new. The sound quality is excellent even when located a significant distance from the base. I’ve used them outside with no static whatsoever. There is a voice enhancer feature though I have not needed to use it. The phones are very lightweight but solid feeling, they fit in your hand well and the display is well lit and easy to read. The buttons are clearly marked and large enough to easily use. You can install the second handset in a separate room without the need for a phone jack; all you need is an outlet for the charger.

i’ve learned through trial and error that panasonic makes some of the best phones on the market. these are no exception, especially for the price. they are crystal clear and have many of the features you will find on their more expensive models, such as speaker phone, call-waiting caller id, phone book, etc. i’ve never felt the need to use a head-set on a house phone, so the absence of that feature is no big deal. they are a bit smaller than some of panasonic’s other phones, but in an “ipod sort-of-way” that makes them cooler.
